With its majestic mountains, pristine alpine meadows, and crystalline lakes, the French Alps & Riviera provide infinite possibilities for landscape photographers

On this tour you will be guided by local resident French photographer, Thibaut Pawlas. Thibaut has years of experience photographing the immense (and close up) landscapes around his home nearby the Alps and Riviera. You will not need to worry about your French skills or where to go next on this intimate, once-in-a-lifetime photo tour.

Destinations on this tour include the Col de la Bonette: an impressive mountain pass renowned for its scenic beauty and photogenic qualities. Standing at an impressive elevation of 2,715 meters (8,907 feet) above sea level, it is one of the highest paved roads in Europe. The road that winds through the col offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, valleys, and alpine landscapes, providing a dramatic backdrop for capturing photographs.

Surrounded by majestic peaks and lush alpine landscapes, the Orceyrette Lake exudes a sense of serenity and natural beauty. The tranquil waters reflect the surrounding scenery, creating stunning mirror-like reflections that add depth and visual interest to photographs.

Parc des Écrins, situated in the French Alps, is a visually striking national park that offers an abundance of photographic opportunities. With its majestic mountains, pristine alpine meadows, and crystalline lakes, the park provides infinite possibilities for landscape photographers.

The Sentier du Littoral in Cap d'Antibes is a coastal trail that offers a wealth of photographic opportunities. Skirting the Mediterranean Sea, it offers views of the azure waters, rugged cliffs, vibrant flora, and charming architecture. This trail is a perfect subject for capturing the beauty of the French Riviera.

Menton, located on the French Riviera and only a few miles away from the Italian border, is a captivating town that offers a wealth of photographic opportunities. Known for its unique blend of Italian and French influences, it boasts a charming old town with colourful buildings, narrow streets, and beautiful gardens.  Additionally, the town’s picturesque waterfront, lined with palm trees and pastel-coloured facades, provides a stunning backdrop for capturing the essence of this Mediterranean gem.

Experience it all on this very small group tour. See all of Thibaut’s images from this region in his online gallery here.
