Experience and photograph the traditions of 1830s New England town decorated for Christmas at Old Sturbridge Village

We will arrive a couple of hours before sunset to shoot demonstrations of classic Christmas projects inside the buildings. You’ll enjoy walking from the Common to the Countryside as you enjoy the festive, outdoor decorations, Christmas Tree Trail, and Christmas Wish Bridge. At dusk, the village transforms into a night-time landscape wonderland. There are opportunities from macro and closeup with fine details to architecture to character portraits to landscapes. We will photograph both indoors and outdoors in all types of lighting situations and is as interesting for the beginner as it is for the serious photographer. Refreshments & Admission to Old Sturbridge Village is included.

Physical Difficulty

The village is larger than you may expect. It is very flat with firm paths. You can expect to put on a couple of miles over the four hours. Please wear comfortable shoes.
