Creating Captivating Compositions

May 9
Narragansett, RI
$195/person

Learn the secrets of how the professionals think about and line up
’the shot’ before pushing the shutter button.

Elevate your composition skills in this immersive, hands-on workshop designed to spark creativity. It consists of dynamic field photoshoots and learning experiences spanning two different locations with a relaxing lunch break to recharge and connect.

In the field, participants will be introduced to the OSCAR pre-shot composition process. Through guided instruction and hands-on practice, the group will apply OSCAR to create their own compelling compositions. After lunch, at a different location, “5 Questions for Self-Critique” are introduced. Each participant is then challenged to find standout compositions (using OSCAR). The workshop culminates with a group sharing session where each participant chooses their favorite composition (using 5 Questions for Self-Critique), shares it with the group and receives thoughtful feedback. Participants will receive two OSCAR composition tool cards to support continued growth beyond the workshop.
