Session Schedule

Always at 7 PM EST

  • In this session (Feb 26), we’ll explore Lightroom’s powerful organizational tools to help streamline your workflow and keep your photo library structured and accessible. We’ll cover the essentials of catalog management, folder organization, and importing strategies, ensuring your files are stored efficiently from the start.

Next, we’ll dive into collections, smart collections, and keywords, showing how to categorize and find images quickly. You’ll also learn how to utilize ratings, flags, and color labels to enhance your editing workflow and prioritize your best shots.

Finally, we’ll discuss metadata, searching techniques, and backup strategies to ensure you never lose track of important images. By the end of this lesson, you’ll have a clear system in place for organizing your Lightroom catalog, making it easier to focus on creativity instead of searching for files.

  • In this session (March 5), we’ll explore how to take your photos from ordinary to extraordinary using Lightroom’s powerful editing tools—including its latest AI-powered features. We’ll cover basic adjustments like exposure, contrast, and color correction, then dive into advanced techniques such as masking, tone curve adjustments, and selective edits.

With Lightroom’s AI tools like Adaptive Presets, AI-powered Masking, and Denoise, we’ll show how automation can speed up your workflow while maintaining creative control. By the end of this lesson, you’ll have the skills to enhance your images efficiently and elevate your editing to a professional level.

  • This session (March 12) introduces photographers to the essential tools and techniques in Photoshop for enhancing their images. We’ll cover cropping, exposure adjustments, color correction, and retouching to refine photos while maintaining a natural look. You'll also learn how to use layers, masks, and basic selection tools to make precise edits without damaging your original image.

By the end of this lesson, you’ll have a solid foundation in Photoshop, allowing you to confidently enhance your photos and take your editing skills to the next level.

Even if you only use Lightroom for post-processing, there are times when Photoshop is the better choice. Photoshop can work seamlessly in conjunction with Lightroom editing and understanding both programs is recommended.
